Professional Experience

Mix Consulting at Machtley Group, B2B & Partner Marketing consultants
Program manager & writer  2022-2023
Built GTM sales and marketing materials for enterprise clients: QuickBooks, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Device Partner Sales, plus SMB channel partners.

Content Creation – Co-managed global sales enablement campaign for enterprise client. Team wrote, designed and edited 188 individual assets across four industries with customizable messaging prepped for localization. Facilitated legal and sales review by two separate client stakeholders.

Marketing & Communications – Invited for 3-month embed as QuickBooks channel partner Marketing Manager to train partners in GTM sales and marketing resources.

Program Management – Managed joint value proposition workshops for channel partners. Worked with writers, editors and design vendors to product GTM sales and marketing enablement for SMB customers including messaging and positioning statements, value pillars, creative campaign hooks, one pagers, and ideal customer profiles.

Seattle Preparatory School
Sr. Director of Individual Giving & Alumni Relations  2014-2022
Built and managed multi-channel programs to inspire donor action and create sustainable revenue streams from 7,500 alumni and families drawing from 64 Puget Sound zip codes.

Content Creation – Conceptualized, wrote and edited program content including: stories, print/electronic communications, CRM user guides, web and social media copy, videos, annual report articles, client profiles, testimonials, and event text. LinkedIn administrator.

Marketing & Communications – Strategies increased annual campaign net $300,000. Developed and marketed giving days and micro-campaigns to increase audience awareness of program priorities, upgrade and retain donors, and improve capture of matching funds. Conducted A/B email testing. Recruited, interviewed, and scripted video participants. Managed videography vendors and student marketing interns.

Outreach & Relationship Development – Expanded donor engagement strategies included: student thankathons, graduation reports, and annual impact reports. Recruited program ambassadors for peer education and solicitation. Staffed Alumni and Campaign Committees.

Program Management & Grant writing – Successful applications netted $3 million for programs and capital projects. Collaborated with program staff to create budgets, letters of inquiry, proposals, site visits and annual impact reports. Managed contracts and content for research database and giving websites.

CRM Management – Repurposed data from other departments to build institutional memory. Created custom data tags, fields and exports. Populated research database to improve donor discovery. Audited source records to ensure clean data for annual imports.

Lake Washington Schools Foundation
Development & Operations Manager  2012-2014
Developed operations manual, business plan and content for outreach and fundraising communications in a high-performing, public-school district serving several urban cities.

· Managed CRM and donor communications to ensure ongoing revenue growth with a focus on retaining and upgrading donors, while building the donor pipeline.
· Cultivated relationships with school/district staff, institutional and corporate funders, and elected leaders to maximize in-kind support and advocacy. Developed strategy and talking points for foundation ambassadors (influencers).
· Working with program staff, composed letters of inquiry, grant proposals, and investment reports for institutional and public funders to increase institutional investments 19% in year one and 16% in year two. Created impact tours for donors and board members.
· Recommended grantmaking program enhancements to improve quality of proposals, reporting, and improve technical assistance to teacher applicants. Facilitated an RFP process for district-level requests in collaboration with Foundation and district leadership.

Bellevue Schools Foundation
Annual Giving Manager 2010-2012
Led community-building initiatives to amplify fundraising, messaging and impact through multiple channels in an urban, public school district whose students speak 80+ languages.

· Liaison to Parent Teacher Association PTA leadership. Designed targeted communications and presentations to improve donor and advocate engagement. School-based investments increased by 48% in year one and by 19% in year two.
· Championed the Foundation Ambassador program and annual phonathon, training adult and youth volunteers from 26 schools. Wrote caller scripts, edited direct mail solicitations and curated social media content to raise almost $500,000 annually.
· Compile profiles of potential donors, advocates, and board members with interns. Developed district and business partnerships to maximize Foundation impact.
